A food server (or waiter/waitress) is responsible for taking dining orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a high-quality, positive experience for guests. They act as the primary point of contact between the guests and the kitchen, requiring strong communication skills, speed, and a friendly demeanor. WeCP +2Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greeting guests, presenting menus, answering questions about ingredients or food preparation, and making recommendations.
- Order Management: Taking accurate food and beverage orders and entering them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Service: Delivering food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to tables in a timely manner.
- Table Maintenance: Refilling beverages, clearing empty plates, replenishing utensils, and addressing any additional needs throughout the meal.
- Cleaning: Cleaning and setting up tables (bussing) for new guests, and maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
- Payments: Presenting checks and processing cash or credit card transactions accurately.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to food safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control regulations. WeCP +6
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is often preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is commonly requested
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
