Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QC Engineer – Mechanical to join our Quality Control team. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, monitoring manufacturing processes, conducting dimensional and quality inspections, maintaining quality records, and ensuring that products meet required specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of raw materials, components, fabricated parts, and finished products.
- Conduct dimensional inspection using instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Measuring Tape.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Quality Check Sheets, NCRs, and other quality documents.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify quality defects and coordinate with production teams for corrective actions.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections as per inspection plans.
- Verify material certificates, test certificates, and other relevant quality documents.
- Support root-cause analysis and implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper calibration and handling of inspection and measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain records related to inspection, rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Follow company quality procedures and applicable ISO 9001 requirements.
- Assist in internal and customer inspections/audits when required.
Required Skills
- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in a manufacturing or engineering industry.
- Good knowledge of mechanical inspection and measurement techniques.
- Ability to read and understand 2D engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis, and 7 QC Tools.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with production teams.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
