About the Role
We're looking for a full-stack developer who can own a product end-to-end — from writing the frontend UI, to building backend APIs, to deploying, securing, and maintaining the infrastructure it runs on. This is not a typical full-stack role: you'll also be responsible for the servers, deployments, and production uptime, functioning as a hybrid developer + DevOps engineer.
Responsibilities
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces using React/Next.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Implement authentication flows and user dashboards
- Design and build REST/GraphQL APIs using Node.js/NestJS, Python (FastAPI/Django), or equivalent
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices across frontend and backend
- Build and manage background jobs, queues, webhooks, and third-party API integrations
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL/MySQL schemas, write migrations, and optimize queries
- Manage Redis for caching, sessions, and queues
- Own backups and disaster recovery for databases
- Provision and manage servers on AWS/Azure/GCP
- Administer Linux servers, configure Docker containers, and manage Nginx/reverse proxies
- Manage DNS, domains, and SSL certificates
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) for automated deployments
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
- Handle scaling, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Apply server/security updates and patch management
- Manage environment variables and secrets securely
- Implement API authentication and rate limiting
- Set up and maintain cron jobs
- Debug and resolve production issues, including outages, in a timely manner
- Monitor uptime and respond to incidents
- Update dependencies and libraries without breaking production
Requirements
Frontend
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with React and/or Next.js
- Experience building responsive UIs and auth-protected dashboards
Backend
- Proficiency in Node.js/NestJS, Python (FastAPI/Django), or a comparable framework
- Experience designing REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security
- Experience with background job processing, queues, and webhook handling
Database
- Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL)
- Experience with Redis
- Comfortable with schema design, migrations, backups, and query optimization
Hosting & DevOps
- Working experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Linux server administration
- Docker containerization
- Nginx or similar reverse proxy configuration
- DNS/domain management and SSL certificate setup
- CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Comfortable setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Experience with backup strategies and disaster recovery planning
Production Ops
- Track record of deploying and maintaining live APIs
- Experience managing secrets/environment variables securely
- Familiarity with rate limiting and API abuse prevention
- Ability to debug production incidents calmly and methodically
- Comfortable being on-call or first responder for outages
Nice to Have
- Experience with GraphQL
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/ECS)
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup or as a solo full-stack owner
What We're Looking For
Someone who doesn't just write code but thinks about what happens to that code in production — uptime, security, cost, and scale. You should be equally comfortable debugging a React component and SSH-ing into a server at 2 AM to fix an outage.
Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
