Skills desired:
MS Excel (advanced for calculations) Basic CAD understanding (AutoCAD / Inventor – coordination level) Simulation tools (if available – nice to have).
Background:
Education : Mechanical Engineering (B.E) Strong knowledge of: Refrigeration cycle & thermodynamics Heat transfer and fluid mechanics HVAC systems (chillers, Airconditioning, cooling applications)
Experience in: Chiller design and system engineering Component selection and system optimization
Understanding of: Energy efficiency standards and ratings Refrigerants and environmental regulations
Attributes:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good technical communication and documentation skills Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams Attention to detail and engineering accuracy

Mandate Requirements:

Roles & Responsibility 1. Design complete chiller systems (air-cooled / water-cooled) based on customer and application requirements 2. Perform refrigeration cycle calculations (cooling load, COP, heat balance, pressure drop) 3. Select and size key components: compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, pumps, and controls 4. Develop system schematics (P&ID), piping layouts, and functional logic 5. Conduct system performance calculations and simulations. 6. Evaluate energy efficiency, capacity optimization, and part-load performance 7. Analyze refrigerant flow, heat transfer, and system balancing 8. Support eco-friendly refrigerant transition (R134a, R407C, R410A, low-GWP options) 9. Participate in product development lifecycle (concept → design → testing → validation) 10. Support cost optimization and alternative sourcing 11. Collaborate with CAD/design engineers for detailed drawings and layouts 12. Support certification and documentation requirements
