Job Description – Senior Engineer (Equipment)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Engineer – Equipment with experience in heavy fabrication and process equipment manufacturing. The role will be responsible for project planning, material planning, production coordination, progress monitoring, and ensuring timely completion and dispatch of equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and monitor manufacturing activities for pressure vessels, tanks, spools, and process equipment.
Prepare and maintain project, production, WIP, and delivery schedules.
Plan and monitor raw material and bought-out item requirements.
Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, Design, and vendors.
Monitor material availability and ensure timely feeding of material to production.
Track outside processing/subcontracting activities and ensure timely completion.
Attend daily/weekly production meetings and identify project bottlenecks.
Take corrective actions to recover delays and achieve project delivery targets.
Maintain project progress reports, planning sheets, and MIS.
Monitor inventory and maintain minimum stock levels for regular items.
Coordinate from order booking through fabrication, inspection, and final dispatch.
Support ERP/SAP implementation and planning-related activities.
Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of heavy fabrication and process equipment manufacturing.
Experience with pressure vessels, storage/process tanks, spools, or similar equipment.
Basic to good knowledge of ASME Section VIII and applicable manufacturing standards.
Understanding of WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDT, PWHT, hydro testing, and material traceability.
Knowledge of fabrication sequence: cutting, forming, fit-up, welding, inspection, testing, finishing, and dispatch.
Experience with ERP/SAP, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
Knowledge of production planning, material planning, WIP, inventory, and project scheduling.

Candidates from heavy engineering, pressure vessel, process equipment, oil & gas, EPC, or heavy fabrication industries will be preferred.
