Job Summary
The Vocal Music Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging vocal music lessons that develop students' singing abilities, musical knowledge, creativity, confidence, and stage performance skills. The teacher will prepare students for school assemblies, cultural events, competitions, concerts, and annual functions while fostering an appreciation for music and the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate vocal music lessons for students.
- Teach vocal techniques, including breathing, pitch, rhythm, voice modulation, diction, and expression.
- Introduce students to music theory, notation, rhythm, melody, and harmony.
- Train students in Indian (Carnatic/Hindustani) and/or Western vocal music as per the school's curriculum.
- Conduct choir practices and prepare students for assemblies, annual day celebrations, competitions, and cultural events.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop lesson plans, maintain attendance, assessment records, and performance reports.
- Encourage creativity, teamwork, discipline, and confidence through music.
- Coordinate with teachers and event committees for school performances.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of musical instruments and audio equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development programs.
- Support the school's vision and contribute to extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Music / Performing Arts or equivalent.
- Diploma/Certification in Vocal Music (Indian or Western) preferred.
- B.Ed. is desirable for school teaching positions.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE, ICSE, IB, Cambridge, or international school is preferred.
- Ability to teach students across different age groups.
Skills & Competencies

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to conduct choirs and stage performances.
- Creativity, patience, and passion for music education.
- Proficiency in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.

Pay: Up to ₹27,000.00 per month
