Teledyne Hanson Research is a worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of dissolution and diffusion test instruments for pharmaceuticals that set the standard for the entire industry. We are currently taking applications for a field service engineer to join our team.
Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation and/or repair of Teledyne Hanson Research instruments. You will also work with the sales teams on identifying potential service contract possibilities and strive to provide a high level of service and support for our customers.
Primary Responsibility
Provide quality, professional HRCare support to all customers.
Perform scheduled service and installations throughout the US
Perform technical support via phone and email
Perform on-call repairs when necessary
Report expenses according to corporate T&E policy
Assist the service manager in the training of new employees
Provide field data to engineering for product improvements
Plan for upcoming travel or projects
Progress ongoing or new cases/technical issues
Maintain up-to-date parts and calibrated tools inventory
General Requirements
Access to a well maintained and reliable automobile
Detail oriented with good organizational and problem solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to travel overnight and on weekends for extended periods when necessary
Prior Experience
5 years in a related technical position
Proficient with MS Office applications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific discipline
Job Skills
Ability to work on projects effectively with other team members
Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
Read and understand complex procedures
Demonstrate skill with measuring and test equipment
