FMCG Store Supervisor – Roles & Responsibilities1. Store Operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations
- Open and close the store as per schedule
- Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
- Ensure proper product display as per planogram
2. Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels and avoid stock shortages or overstocking
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO (First Expiry First Out) is followed
- Track expiry dates and damages
- Coordinate with warehouse/vendors for stock replenishment
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly stock audits
3. Sales & Customer Service
- Achieve daily and monthly sales targets
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Guide customers on products, offers, and promotions
4. Team Management
- Supervise store staff (sales associates, cashiers, helpers)
- Assign daily duties and shifts
- Train new employees on products and store SOPs
- Monitor staff performance and discipline
5. Billing & Cash Handling
- Ensure accurate billing and POS operations
- Verify daily cash, UPI, and card collections
- Prepare and submit daily sales and cash reports
- Ensure zero billing errors and fraud prevention
6. Merchandising & Promotions
- Implement promotional schemes and offers correctly
- Ensure visibility of offers (posters, danglers, shelf tags)
- Coordinate with marketing team for in-store promotions
7. Compliance & Reporting
- Follow company policies and SOPs
- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, weights & measures, hygiene norms)
- Report daily sales, stock status, and issues to management
- Maintain all store-related records properly
8. Loss Prevention & Security
- Prevent theft, pilferage, and damages
- Monitor CCTV and store security
- Ensure proper handling of high-value items
9. Vendor & Delivery Coordination
- Verify inward stock (GRN) quantity and quality
- Handle vendor bills and delivery issues
- Ensure timely receipt and return of goods
10. Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in operations and suggest improvements
- Support audits and inspections
- Maintain customer feedback records
Additional Requirement – GOFRUGAL Software Knowledge11. GOFRUGAL Software Handling
- Must have hands-on working knowledge of GOFRUGAL Retail / ERP software
- Should be able to handle billing (POS), invoice generation, returns, and exchanges efficiently
- Responsible for stock entry, GRN, stock transfers, and stock adjustments with accuracy
- Should manage purchase entries and vendor master updates in the system
- Able to generate and analyze daily sales reports, stock reports, expiry reports, and fast- & slow-moving item reports
- Responsible for price updates, offer creation, and discount setup in GOFRUGAL as per company guidelines
- Should handle user access management and basic troubleshooting, including billing or synchronization issues
- Ensure physical stock matches system stock at all times and resolve discrepancies promptly
