Job Title: Sr. Testing engineer- Building Material Testing Department
Department: Building Material Testing Laboratory
Reports To: Laboratory Manager
Job Summary
Sr. Testing engineer - Building Material Testing Department is responsible for overseeing laboratory testing activities for construction and building materials, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, maintaining quality systems, managing laboratory staff, and delivering accurate test results within specified timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Building Material Testing Laboratory.
- Ensure testing of materials such as cement, concrete, steel, aggregates, bricks, blocks, soil, and other construction materials as per applicable standards.
- Monitor laboratory quality control procedures and maintain testing accuracy.
- Review and approve test reports before issuance.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Coordinate with clients, project teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and quality management systems.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate laboratory engineers and technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate testing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly reports on testing activities, laboratory performance, and resource utilization.
- Support audits, certifications, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering/Materials Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building material testing laboratories, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
