Position Overview
The Stores Auditor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, system integrity, and compliance across the entire material lifecycle—from inward receipt to final dispatch. This role includes physical audits, ERP system audits, discrepancy analysis, and coordination across Planning, Stores, and Dispatch functions.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Audit & Verification
- Conduct periodic physical inventory audits of raw materials, components, WIP, and finished goods.
- Compare physical stock with ERP/system records and identify variances.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure closure with proper documentation.
End-to-End System Audit (Inward to Dispatch)
- Perform complete system audit covering entire material flow: inward → storage → issue → production → dispatch.
- Verify correctness of all system entries (GRN, stock transfer, material issue, production consumption, dispatch).
- Ensure traceability of materials across all stages in ERP.
ERP System Audit (Detailed Scope)
- Audit ERP transactions to ensure data accuracy and real-time updates.
- Verify:
- GRN posting accuracy vs inward documents
- Material issue entries vs actual consumption
- Stock transfers between locations/bins
- Dispatch entries and invoice linkage
- Identify and monitor:
- System deletion or unauthorized modification of transactions
- Backdated entries or incorrect postings
- Duplicate entries or missing transactions
- Ensure proper user access control and authorization levels in ERP.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen system controls and audit trails.
Dispatch Audit
- Perform dispatch audits to verify accuracy of outgoing materials and documentation.
- Validate:
- Dispatch quantity vs system records and packing list
- Delivery challans, invoices, and transport documents
- Proper tagging, packing, and identification of materials
- Ensure dispatch follows FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
- Identify and report dispatch-related discrepancies or errors.
- Confirm timely and correct system updates for dispatch transactions.
Discrepancy & Issue Handling
- Identify audit discrepancies in stock, system records, and processes.
- Investigate root causes of mismatches, pilferage, or system errors.
- Track and resolve system deletion / data mismatch issues.
- Suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support coordination between Planning and Stores for:
- System-related issues
- Inventory mismatches
- Material availability concerns
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure smooth data flow and alignment across departments.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and internal audit standards.
- Maintain audit reports, discrepancy logs, and corrective action records.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, dispatch processes, and audit systems
- Hands-on experience in ERP systems
- Ability to analyze system discrepancies and audit trails
- Understanding of GMP & manufacturing compliance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
- High attention to detail and integrity
Experience
- 7-10 years in stores audit / ERP audit in manufacturing

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
