Job Description:
Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:
- Strategic Sourcing: Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Vendor Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakehold-ers.
- Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Production, to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business goals
- Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Reviewing and processing requisitions and purchase orders.
- Preparing reports and updates as needed.
Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience of 5+ years in a procurement role, with at least 2+ years in a senior position
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
- Analytical skills for cost analysis, forecasting, and supplier evaluation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Senior Buyer typically works in an office environment but may be required to travel occasionally to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
