Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SolidEdge Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with expertise in using SolidEdge CAD software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidEdge.
- Create detailed designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and quality assurance.
- Generate accurate bill of materials (BOMs) and maintain design documentation.
- Perform design reviews and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and version control.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in CAD design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidEdge CAD software.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of design principles, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in other CAD tools or analysis software is a plus.
- Familiarity with sheet metal design, weldments, and plastic part design.
