About the Team
We are on a mission to revolutionize urban air mobility with the e200X, our flagship
electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The Mass Properties and Loads (MPL) group is the backbone of our structural and aerodynamic integrity. Because
electric aviation operates on strict weight budgets, our team is responsible for uncompromising weight tracking, centre of gravity (CG) management, and the
development of complex static, dynamic, and aerodynamic load models. You will be directly contributing to the digital twin and physical prototypes that will bring the e200X to the skies.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As an MPL Engineer, you will balance the aggressive weight targets of a battery-powered aircraft with the structural robustness required for safe urban rooftop operations. You will define the load cases for hover, transition, and forward flight, while working cross-
functionally with the aerodynamics, avionics, and composite design teams. Your analyses will directly support our flight testing and type certification efforts with the DGCA
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
Mass Properties Management: Establish, track, and optimize the weight, Centre of Gravity (CG), and Moments of Inertia (MoI) for the entire e200X platform down to the component level and define accurate CG limit envelopes for various flight phases..-
Loads Development: Develop and analyse external and internal loads for all flight phases, including vertical take-off, transition, forward flight, and landing (including rooftop helipad impact loads).

Rotor s Dynamic Loads: Analyse aeroelasticity, rotor dynamics, and vibrational loads unique to eVTOL multi-rotor configurations.

Digital Twin Integration: Supply accurate mass and structural data to our advanced simulation teams (e.g., NVIDIA Omniverse models) for virtual flight physics validation.

Trade Studies: Partner closely with structural and powertrain engineers to perform weight-reduction trade studies without compromising safety margins.

Certification s Reporting: Author comprehensive loads reports, weight documentation, and mass properties books to support DGCA type certification.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.

2-4 years of experience in mass properties, loads analysis, or structural engineering and works with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) and loads generation software (e.g., MSC Nastran, Patran, ANSYS).

Strong understanding of aircraft static/dynamic loads, aeroelasticity, and composite material structures.

Experience extracting and managing mass data using modern CAD/PLM systems (e.g., Siemens NX, Teamcenter, CATIA).

Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks and certification standards (DGCA, EASA, or FAA).

Hands-on knowledge of aircraft weighing procedures and physical CG estimation.
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

Specific experience working on eVTOL, helicopter, or UAV platforms.

Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or C++) to automate data processing and loads script generation.

Experience with digital twin environments or advanced simulation validation.
