Job description
- Echo Technician Aids physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting non-invasive diagnostic tests; maintaining equipment; recording test results
- Registers patients by entering anticipated service date into the patient record; verifying medical history
- Technologists can specialize in different areas of practice: invasive treadmills test & myospect
- An echocardiogram (echo) is a test used to assess the hearts function and structures a stress echocardiogram is a test done to assess how well the heart works under stress Contrast echocardiography is a technique for improving echocardiographic resolution and providing real time assessment of intracardiac blood flow
- Agitated saline contrast provides contrast in the right heart and enables detection of right to be left shunts Taking ecgs for out- patients and in - patients without time delay
- Assisting the cardiologist & pediatric cardiologist in the echo room
- (report preparation, recording echo pictures) Assisting the cardiologist while doing tee (both out - patient and intra op tee) Cd preparation of echo recording for in-patients and Cath meeting presentation
Preferred candidate profile
Diploma with 0-2 years of experience preferred or B.sc
