Overview:
The CFO will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, project costing, budgeting, cash-flow and working-capital management, treasury, taxation, statutory compliance, financial controls, MIS, risk management and commercial finance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Business Leadership
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with the MD/Board in strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Evaluate new projects, investments, expansion plans and business proposals.
· Provide financial insights, forecasts and scenario analysis to management towards cost optimisation & sustainable growth.
Project Finance, Costing & Profitability
- Establish and monitor project-wise costing and profitability.
- Analyse material, labour, subcontracting and overhead costs.
- Monitor project budgets against actual expenditure.
- Track project cost-to-complete and identify cost overruns.
- Support project pricing, quotation and commercial decisions.
- Conduct post-project profitability analysis.
Financial Planning & MIS
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial MIS.
- Monitor revenue, margins, EBITDA and operating costs.
- Conduct budget-vs-actual and variance analysis.
- Develop dashboards and financial reports for management/Board review.
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Lead cash-flow planning and treasury management.
- Optimise receivables, payables and inventory.
- Monitor project-wise cash requirements.
- Improve collections and working-capital efficiency.
- Manage banking relationships, working-capital facilities and financing requirements.
Accounting, Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting.
- Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate statutory, tax and internal audits.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance systems.
- Strengthen accounting policies, processes and approval mechanisms.
Commercial & Cost Control
- Review financial aspects of customer/vendor contracts.
- Support procurement and commercial negotiations.
- Analyse purchase price variance, inventory, wastage and cost efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and profitability improvement.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Identify and monitor financial, project, liquidity, credit and commercial risks.
- Establish effective internal financial controls.
- Monitor and close audit observations.
- Strengthen systems to prevent financial leakage and improve accountability.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Graduate/PG in Commerce/ MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, preferably from Shipbuilding / Marine / Engineering / Manufacturing / Project-based Industry
- Proven expertise in project costing, budgeting, FP&A and financial controls.
- Strong knowledge of cash-flow and working-capital management.
- Experience in taxation, statutory compliance and audit, Strong banking & treasury exposure.
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling and MIS skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
