Job description:
A steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the kitchen, dining, and service areas. They support chefs and service staff by ensuring utensils, equipment, and workspaces are clean and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, storage, and dining areas
- Dispose of garbage and manage waste segregation
- Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are followed
- Refill cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
- Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks
- Operate dishwashing machines safely
- Keep floors dry and clean to avoid accidents.
Qualification
- Minimum: 12th/Graduation pass required for this role
- Prior hotel/restaurant experience preferred needed.
- Experience required: 1+ year in Hotel/ Restaurant or any OJT in food outlet.
