Job Summary
We are looking for a confident, articulate, and well-informed News Anchor to present news, conduct interviews, and engage audiences through digital, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong current-affairs knowledge, and the ability to deliver news accurately and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Present and deliver news bulletins in a clear, confident, and engaging manner.
- Research and stay updated on national, international, political, business, sports, and local news.
- Review and understand news scripts, reports, and background information before broadcasts.
- Conduct live and recorded interviews with guests, experts, officials, and public figures.
- Handle breaking-news situations professionally and communicate updates accurately.
- Verify facts and ensure news content is accurate, balanced, and credible.
- Participate in panel discussions, special programs, debates, and live events.
- Create or contribute to digital news content for websites and social media platforms.
- Maintain professional presentation, voice modulation, body language, and on-camera presence.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and during breaking-news events.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of current affairs and general awareness.
- Confident on-camera presence and presentation skills.
- Good voice modulation, pronunciation, and fluency.
- Strong interviewing and questioning abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Good research, fact-checking, and storytelling skills.
- Basic understanding of social media and digital journalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in news anchoring, journalism, reporting, or broadcasting is an advantage.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
