Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in Sheet Metal manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining product quality standards, handling inspections, resolving quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement activities in the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of sheet metal components.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Handle quality documentation such as inspection reports, PPAP, CAPA, SOPs, and check sheets.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Use measuring instruments like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for quality improvement activities.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and customer complaints and take corrective actions.
- Support internal audits, process audits, and customer audits.
- Maintain quality records and prepare MIS reports.
- Ensure adherence to ISO/IATF quality systems and safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and Lean activities.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Familiarity with welding, bending, punching, and fabrication inspection.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
Qualification
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Automotive or Sheet Metal manufacturing industry preferred.
- Exposure to customer handling and audit preparation will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
