Job Summary
Ajooni Storage Systems is looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to create technical layouts, 2D drawings, isometric views, and 3D renderings for warehouse layouts and storage structures. While experience in industrial storage systems (like pallet racking or mezzanine floors) is a major plus, it is not mandatory. We are fully ready to train the right candidate on our product range and design standards.
If you have strong core AutoCAD skills, excellent spatial awareness, can handle basic mathematical calculations, and know how to draft clean business layout documents in MS Word, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate AutoCAD to create detailed, technically sound 2D warehouse layouts, isometric views, and 3D renderings showing storage rack placement.
- Translate site measurements, customer specifications, and verbal instructions into clear approval and fabrication drawings.
- Learn and apply internal product guidelines to design heavy-duty pallet racks, mezzanine floors, and mobile compactors (training provided).
- Perform basic mathematical calculations (such as calculating grid layouts, calculating total bay counts, and measuring dimensions) to optimize warehouse space.
- Prepare professional project proposals and price quotations in MS Word and maintain project data in MS Excel.
- Maintain an organized digital filing system for drawings, handle design-related emails, and manage project timelines effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Mastery: High proficiency in AutoCAD (Strong 2D layout skills are required; experience with isometric or 3D views is highly desirable).
- Background: 2+ years of professional drafting experience (open to candidates from interior design, architecture, structural steel, or mechanical drafting backgrounds).
- Mathematical Aptitude: Comfort with basic school-level mathematics (percentages, areas, dimensions, and basic geometry) for layout scaling and calculations.
- Software Skills: Good command over MS Word (for drafting quotations) and basic MS Excel.
- Soft Skills: A strong willingness to learn new industrial products and clear communication skills to coordinate layout updates.
- Location: Ability to reliably commute daily to our office in Dwarka, New Delhi.
