Himalaya Terpenes is a Mumbai-based manufacturer and exporter of pine chemicals and terpene-based specialty chemicals — Alpha Pinene, Terpineol, Camphor, Gum Rosin, and more. We supply to industrial buyers, formulators, and distributors across 21+ countries. Third-generation family business, 50+ years of legacy, and a serious export operation.
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, self-driven Business Development Manager to grow our domestic and export sales pipeline. You'll be working directly with industrial buyers — paint companies, pharma formulators, fragrance houses, agrochemical manufacturers — so you need to be comfortable selling technically, not just relationally.
This is a high-ownership role. You'll manage the full cycle from prospecting to closure, with the MD closely involved in key deals.
What You'll Do
Identify and develop new B2B accounts across target industries — paints, pharma, flavours & fragrances, agrochemicals, personal care
Manage and grow relationships with existing domestic and international clients
Handle the full sales cycle — inquiry, proposal, negotiation, closure, and follow-through
Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction
Track market trends, monitor competitor activity, and flag pricing or demand shifts
Maintain clean CRM records and share regular pipeline updates with leadership
Travel to client sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed (~25% travel)
What We're Looking For
4–7 years of B2B sales or business development experience — specialty chemicals, industrial raw materials, or related sectors strongly preferred
Graduate in any discipline; science or engineering background is a plus; MBA is welcome but not required
Comfortable with long sales cycles and technical product conversations
Strong communication and negotiation skills — you need to hold your own with procurement heads and technical buyers
Self-starter who can work independently and is accountable to targets
Prior experience with export sales or international clients is an advantage
