Ascend Now is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate should be skilled in editing short-form content for social media and capable of creating engaging videos that align with our brand and marketing goals.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling through video, understands social media trends, and can work efficiently within deadlines.
Responsibilities
Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms
Add captions, transitions, sound effects, and basic motion graphics where required
Create engaging edits that improve audience retention and engagement
Follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all video content
Collaborate with the content and marketing team to bring creative ideas to life
Organize and manage video files efficiently
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of video editing experience
Experience editing social media content, especially Reels and Shorts
Basic knowledge of AI-powered editing tools
Good English communication skills
Strong attention to detail and understanding of pacing, storytelling, and social media trends
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
