Role Summary:
The Sales & Admission Counsellor is responsible for driving student enrolments, guiding prospective learners, and delivering outstanding admission experiences. This role acts as a vital connection between marketing, prospective students, and academic teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Outreach
* Manage diverse enquiries: calls, walk-ins, emails, chat, and social media.
* Conduct timely follow-ups on marketing-generated leads through CRM and omnichannel outreach.
* Execute outbound campaigns: tele-calling, campus drives, workshops, webinars, and EdTech activations.
* Represent academy at career fairs, seminars, and industry events; participate in online webinars as required.
2. Counselling & Consultation
* Deeply understand learners’ academic background, skill gaps, career goals, and motivations.
* Provide transparent guidance about suitable courses, personalized learning paths, curricula, certifications, and placement prospects.
* Educate on course duration, outcomes, payment plans/financing, admission criteria, and industry alignment.
3. Conversion & Sales
* Convert leads to confirmed enrolments through consultative selling and solution mapping.
* Achieve individual and team targets for admissions and revenue; ensure timely payment and collection.
* Proactively cross-sell/up-sell other courses, modular workshops, or EdTech products.
* Negotiate payment plans and address objections in compliance with institute policies.
4. CRM & Data Management
* Maintain accurate lead records, admission documentation, and correspondence in CRM or lead-management platforms.
* Track conversion, follow-up frequency, and dropout rates; present actionable reports to management.
* 100% accuracy in following SOP’s Manual.
5. Coordination & Operations
* Liaise with digital team for campaign alignment and feedback on lead quality.
* Coordinate with academic/admin teams for Batch allocation, onboarding, orientation, and fee processing.
* Support documentation, verification, and compliance for admissions; ensure data confidentiality.
* Assist in organizing open houses, webinars, demo classes, free trials, and workshops.
6. Student Experience & Relationship Management
* Provide exceptional, empathy-driven support to prospective learners to build trust and long-term relationships—even for non-enrolling students.
* Address concerns and clarify value propositions for learning outcomes and career opportunities.
7. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
* Generate periodic reports on sales funnel, conversions, dropout analysis, and student satisfaction.
* Provide feedback for marketing, admission process enhancement, and product recommendations.
* Stay updated with current EdTech trends, regulatory changes, and targeted upskilling strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (any discipline). Pref management background.
* 1–3+ years’ experience in sales, admissions, or counselling (EdTech or training sector preferred).
* Strong communication and presentation skills in English and local languages.
* Ability to work with targets and handle multiple outreach channels with strong follow-through.
* Competency in basic computer applications, CRM/lead-management, and digital communication tools.
Compensation & Working Conditions:
* Base Salary: ₹18,000 to ₹35,000+ per month (experience and scale dependent).
* Incentives: Attractive incentive structure based on lead conversions and revenue targets.
* Job Type: Full-time, onsite role at the academy. Must be open to weekend/evening shifts and fast-paced, target-driven work environment.
