Job Summary:
We are hiring a Senior Integration Engineer with strong expertise in healthcare interoperability technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with HL7, FHIR, Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, and REST APIs to build scalable integration solutions for EMR/EHR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop healthcare integrations using HL7 v2.x, FHIR R4, REST APIs, and Apache Camel.
- Build scalable integration services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Integrate EMR/EHR platforms, HIEs, payer systems, and third-party healthcare applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize integration performance.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support CI/CD and cloud deployments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare interoperability standards.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in healthcare integrations.
Strong experience with:
- HL7 v2.x & FHIR R4
- Java/J2EE & Spring Boot
- REST APIs
- Apache Camel
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience integrating EMR/EHR, HIE, or payer platforms.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Team leadership or mentoring experience.
Good to Have:
- HL7/FHIR Certification.
- MuleSoft or Apigee Certification.
- AWS/Azure/GCP Certifications.
- HIPAA compliance knowledge.
