Sanskrit Teacher
Role Overview
A Sanskrit Studies teacher is responsible for teaching Sanskrit language, grammar, literature, pronunciation, and culture to students in an engaging and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Sanskrit reading, writing, speaking, and grammar
- Prepare lesson plans and classroom activities
- Explain Sanskrit shlokas, meanings, and pronunciation
- Conduct tests, assignments, and assessments
- Encourage student participation and language practice
- Maintain student records and progress reports
- Use interactive teaching methods and educational tools
- Support school events, competitions, and cultural activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sanskrit
- B.Ed. or teaching certification (preferred)
- Good communication and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of Devanagari script
- Ability to teach beginners and advanced learners

- Sanskrit grammar expertise
- Pronunciation and chanting skills
