About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICN (Infection Control Nurse) to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing infection prevention and control practices while conducting clinical education and training programs for nursing staff. The candidate should have a strong understanding of NABH standards, infection control protocols, and nursing education.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) policies and protocols.
- Conduct infection surveillance, audits, and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and statutory guidelines.
- Organize orientation programs and continuous nursing education (CNE) sessions.
- Train and mentor nursing staff on clinical procedures, patient safety, and infection control practices.
- Coordinate with clinical departments to improve quality of patient care.
- Maintain infection control records, training documentation, and audit reports.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital accreditation activities.
Eligibility
- Qualification: B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (M.Sc. Nursing preferred)
- Certification: Infection Control Nurse (ICN) Certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Infection Control and/or Nursing Education.
- Preferred: Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control guidelines.
- NABH documentation and audit experience.
- Excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Good analytical, documentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to conduct staff training and monitor compliance effectively.
