Position Details
Job Title: Stock Controller
Department: Supply Chain & Warehouse
Location: Thergaon Factory, Pune
Job Purpose
The Stock Controller will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock movement, and ensuring inventory accuracy across raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and consumables. The role requires close coordination with Production, Quality, Procurement, Warehouse, Dispatch, and Finance teams to ensure seamless factory operations and timely product availability.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and consumables.
- Ensure system inventory matches physical stock at all times.
- Monitor daily stock movement including receipts, production consumption, transfers, dispatches, and adjustments.
- Maintain batch-wise and location-wise inventory records.
- Monitor stock ageing and recommend actions for slow-moving and near-expiry inventory.
- Ensure inventory is managed in accordance with FIFO and FEFO principles.
Factory Operations
- Coordinate with the Production team to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing.
- Verify material consumption against production records.
- Monitor issuance and return of production materials.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for approved, rejected, damaged, quarantine, and hold stock.
- Ensure accurate movement of inventory between production, warehouse, and dispatch.
Warehouse & Dispatch
- Verify Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), inward materials, stock transfers, and dispatch documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and traceability of inventory.
- Support order fulfilment by ensuring stock availability for customer dispatches.
- Monitor stock transfers between warehouse locations and maintain accurate records.
Stock Reconciliation & Audits
- Conduct daily cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification.
- Investigate stock variances and prepare reconciliation reports.
- Maintain records of stock adjustments with appropriate approvals.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and corrective actions.
Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Generate inventory ageing, stock variance, and stock movement reports.
- Share inventory reports with Management, Finance, and Operations.
- Monitor inventory KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and inventory control procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions and audits.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and warehouse compliance standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food products in accordance with company guidelines.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Store Executive, Inventory Executive, or similar role.
- Mandatory experience in a Manufacturing Unit, Factory, Food Processing Unit, FMCG Manufacturing, or Production Environment.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Frozen Foods, Packaged Foods, Dairy, or Beverage Manufacturing will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and inventory management software is highly desirable.

Pay: ₹9,129.76 - ₹36,911.39 per month
