We are looking for a skilled and motivated Part-Time Android Developer to join our technology team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and improving Android applications while working closely with the product, design, and backend teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Android development, Kotlin/Java, Android Studio, REST APIs, and mobile UI development, along with a problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Build responsive, user-friendly, and scalable mobile interfaces.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services into Android applications.
- Work with backend developers to integrate APIs and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement new features based on product requirements.
- Identify, debug, and resolve application bugs and performance issues.
- Conduct testing and ensure applications work across different Android devices and screen sizes.
- Optimize application performance, stability, and battery usage.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation related to application features and development.
- Assist with publishing and updating applications on the Google Play Store, when required.
- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies and development practices.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Android Studio and Android SDK.
- Good understanding of Android application architecture.
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of Git/GitHub and version control.
- Understanding of Android UI/UX principles and responsive layouts.
- Knowledge of databases such as SQLite/Room is preferred.
- Familiarity with Firebase is an advantage.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks within agreed timelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of Android development experience preferred.
- Experience having published or maintained applications on the Google Play Store will be an added advantage.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Retrofit, Room, and Firebase is a plus.
Pay: ₹12,635.40 - ₹20,000.00 per month
