Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of hospital electrical systems, equipment, and utility operations. Ensures uninterrupted power supply and supports emergency maintenance to maintain a safe and efficient hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:Electrical Maintenance & Operations
- Perform regular inspection, repair and maintenance of electrical panels, wiring, circuits, DB boards, MCBs, stabilizers & UPS systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly.
- Ensure proper functioning of hospital equipment, lighting, fans, AC power points, and emergency power systems.
- Assist in installation of new electrical fittings and appliances.
- Maintain and monitor Power backup (DG Set, UPS, Inverter).
Hospital Equipment Handling
- Support maintenance of medical and non-medical electrical equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for servicing of critical equipment if required.
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedule of OT lights, ICU equipment power supply, patient room electrical fixtures, etc.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards & hospital maintenance protocols.
- Monitor earthing systems, ELCB/RCCB, and check for electrical hazards.
- Maintain fire safety equipment awareness and assist during emergency situations.
- Support in energy conservation practices.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain logs of daily work, breakdown calls & preventive maintenance reports.
- Track electrical material stock and raise requisition when required.
- Record service details for equipment maintenance history.
Emergency Response
- Attend emergency breakdown calls 24/7 on rotational/on-call basis.
- Respond to power failures, equipment malfunctions, and urgent repair issues immediately.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Biomedical, Maintenance, IT, and Nursing departments.
- Ensure minimal downtime to avoid patient care disruption.
- Support in facility expansion, renovation, and electrical layout work.
Qualification & Skills Required:
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent.B License or C License
- Minimum 5 years experience (hospital experience preferred).
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, UPS, DG & electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and handle tools safely.
- Good communication & problem-solving skills.
- Should be willing for shift duties and emergency on-call support.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
