To supervise and coordinate day-to-day building construction activities at the site, ensuring that work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules while maintaining effective coordination with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily building construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and ensure compliance with required standards.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignments, quantities, and measurements at various stages of construction.
- Prepare and maintain daily site progress reports, work records, measurement sheets, and other project documentation.
- Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and report delays or deviations to the Project Manager.
- Coordinate material requirements with the Purchase and Stores teams and ensure timely availability at site.
- Verify contractor/subcontractor work quantities and assist in preparation and checking of measurements and bills.
- Identify site issues, technical problems, and execution challenges and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and other resources at the site.
- Monitor civil works including RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting, finishing, and other building works.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other services to avoid execution conflicts.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure rectification of defective or incomplete works.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, housekeeping, and EHS requirements.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, instructions, approvals, and site communications.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, issues, requirements, and upcoming activities.
- Support the Project Manager in planning, execution, cost control, and timely completion of the project.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant experience in building construction and site execution.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
