Express Vartha is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Layout Designer to design and format our daily Malayalam newspaper. The ideal candidate should have strong newspaper page layout skills, a good understanding of typography, and the ability to work under daily deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Design and layout daily newspaper pages.
- Create attractive front pages and inside pages.
- Arrange news, photographs, advertisements, and graphics professionally.
- Ensure consistency in typography, spacing, and page design.
- Coordinate with editors, reporters, and the advertisement team.
- Deliver pages within strict publication deadlines.
Requirements
- Experience in newspaper or magazine layout design preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Pagemaker (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Malayalam Unicode fonts and typing.
- Strong sense of typography, visual hierarchy, and page composition.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet daily deadlines.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication,
- Must know to read and write Malayalam Language
- 1–3 years of experience in newspaper layout is preferred. Freshers with excellent design skills may also apply.
