Job Summary
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities with Government Medical Colleges (GMCs), Government Hospitals, Health Departments, Medical Universities, and Healthcare Institutions. The role involves market research, customer relationship management, tender coordination, product promotion, and achieving sales targets for medical equipment and healthcare solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
- Identify new business opportunities in Government Medical Colleges, Government Hospitals, AIIMS, ESIC Hospitals, and Medical Universities.
- Promote medical equipment, healthcare technologies, and hospital solutions to decision-makers.
- Generate inquiries and convert opportunities into sales orders.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build relationships with:
- Deans of Medical Colleges
- Medical Superintendents
- Purchase Officers
- Biomedical Engineers
- HODs of Clinical Departments
- Government Health Officials
- Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
Tender & Government Business Support
- Track upcoming tenders through:
- GeM Portal
- CPP Portal
- State E-Tender Portals
- Medical College Procurement Notices
- Coordinate with the tender team for bid participation.
- Collect technical specifications and pre-bid information.
- Assist in preparing compliance documents and technical presentations.
Product Demonstration & Promotion
- Arrange product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Coordinate with OEMs and technical teams during demonstrations.
- Organize CME programs, workshops, and awareness sessions.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities and pricing.
- Identify upcoming projects under:
- National Health Mission (NHM)
- PM-ABHIM
- State Health Schemes
- Medical Education Department Projects
- Prepare market intelligence reports.
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, service teams, and customers.
- Maintain CRM records and sales reports.
- Prepare business proposals, quotations, and presentations.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Life Sciences
- Pharmacy
- B.Sc. / B.Tech.
- MBA (Marketing) preferred
Experience
- 2–5 years experience in:
- Medical Equipment Sales
- Healthcare Business Development
- Government Tender Business
- Hospital Equipment Marketing
Preferred Experience
- Working with Government Medical Colleges (GMCs)
- GeM and Government Tendering
- Diagnostic, ICU, OT, Radiology, Laboratory, or Medical Simulation Equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
