Lead Food Technologist - Eltane Performance Nutrition

About Eltane
Eltane Performance Nutrition is building science-led sports nutrition products for high-performance athletes. We are looking for a Lead Food Technologist to take ownership of product development and help us build the next generation of performance nutrition in India.
The Role
You will lead Eltane’s R&D, formulation and product development, from initial concept and ingredient selection through trials, testing, scale-up and commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead formulation and development of sports nutrition products
- Develop and optimise formulations for performance, taste, stability, safety and commercial scalability.
- Plan and execute R&D trials, sensory evaluations, stability testing and batch testing.
- Work closely with manufacturers, laboratories and ingredient suppliers to troubleshoot and scale formulations.
- Establish product specifications, quality parameters and technical documentation.
- Support FSSAI/regulatory compliance and product claims.
- Research emerging ingredients, technologies and developments in sports nutrition and endurance performance.
- Work closely with athletes, sports scientists and nutrition professionals to translate real-world needs into better products.
- Take ownership of solving formulation and product-quality challenges from concept to commercialisation.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in food R&D, formulation or product development.
- Strong understanding of food formulation, ingredient functionality, quality and food safety.
- Knowledge or experience in sports nutrition, functional foods, nutraceuticals or performance nutrition is highly preferred.
- Curious, analytical and passionate about understanding how nutrition can improve athletic performance.
- Hands-on and comfortable working with manufacturers, laboratories and suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, someone who can take ownership, experiment, challenge existing thinking and build things from the ground up.
