Job Description – Senior Accountant

Experience Required: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Accounting & Finance
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory requirements, and hands-on experience in handling day-to-day accounting functions independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complete accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts and supporting documents.
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax-related compliance and filings.
- Assist in statutory audits and coordinate with auditors for required documents and clarifications.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
- Review accounting entries and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle payroll accounting and related entries.
- Provide support for budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/master's degree in commerce or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in accounting and finance functions.
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel, GST, TDS, and accounting software.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and taxation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage accounting activities with accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Preferred Candidate:
Candidates from Changanassery and nearby locations will be preferred.
