Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager / Team Lead to drive admissions and revenue growth by leading a high-performing sales team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in EdTech sales, team handling, revenue management, and customer relationship management. This role requires a target-oriented leader who can develop sales strategies, mentor team members, and consistently achieve business goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Growth
- Drive admissions and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize conversions and business growth.
- Monitor sales performance and implement action plans to improve productivity.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market reach.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Development Executives.
- Set individual and team sales targets and monitor performance.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and sales training.
- Foster a positive, high-performance sales culture.
Customer Engagement
- Guide prospective students through the admission process and recommend suitable programs.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and working professionals.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience throughout the sales journey.
Sales Operations
- Maintain accurate records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business performance updates.
- Ensure adherence to sales processes and company policies.
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to improve lead conversion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 6+ years of sales experience with at least 2–3 years of team handling experience in the EdTech industry.
- Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and lead high-performing sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of consultative selling, lead management, and customer acquisition.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Experience with CRM tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in B2C EdTech sales.
- Ability to manage high-value admissions and improve average ticket size.
- Strong coaching and people management skills.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
