We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser with over 10 years of experience in apparel and intimate wear merchandising. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete merchandising lifecycle—from product development to order execution—while coordinating with buyers, suppliers, sourcing teams, production, quality, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products at optimum cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development
- Manage end-to-end product development for innerwear, shapewear, activewear, and related categories.
- Coordinate with design and product development teams for new styles and seasonal collections.
- Source suitable fabrics, trims, elastics, accessories, and packaging materials.
- Develop costing sheets and conduct cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Coordinate sample development from proto to pre-production samples.
Buyer & Customer Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for domestic and international customers.
- Understand customer requirements and convert them into executable production plans.
- Manage approvals for samples, lab dips, fabrics, trims, packaging, and bulk production.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service levels.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, MOQ, lead times, and commercial terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
- Build alternate supplier sources to minimize supply risks.
Costing & Commercials
- Prepare accurate product costing based on BOM and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor material consumption and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyze price fluctuations and negotiate the best commercial terms.
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with planning, production, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing teams.
- Track production status and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Resolve production bottlenecks through effective cross-functional coordination.
- Monitor critical paths to achieve on-time delivery.
Material Planning
- Ensure timely procurement of fabrics, elastics, accessories, labels, packaging materials, and trims.
- Monitor inventory to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate inward inspection and material approvals.
Quality Management
- Work closely with the QA/QC team to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Coordinate testing requirements including fabric performance, garment testing, color fastness, and compliance.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented for quality issues.
Documentation & MIS
- Prepare purchase orders, BOMs, T&A calendars, costing sheets, order summaries, and production trackers.
- Maintain merchandising reports and dashboards.
- Ensure all merchandising documents are accurate and updated.
Logistics & Dispatch
- Coordinate with logistics teams for shipment planning.
- Ensure timely documentation for dispatch and export/import requirements.
- Track shipments until successful customer delivery.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing and merchandising processes, with 10-12 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in innerwear, lingerie, shapewear, or knitted garments is preferred.
- Excellent fabric and trim sourcing knowledge.
- Expertise in costing, BOM preparation, and consumption calculations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
