JD: Salesforce LeadRole Overview
We are looking for a Salesforce Lead who combines strong hands-on development skills with technical leadership and delivery ownership. The candidate will guide the development team, review solution designs and code, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure the successful delivery of secure and scalable Salesforce solutions.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. The candidate must be capable of designing, reviewing, troubleshooting, and developing complex Salesforce solutions while guiding the development team and owning technical delivery.
Experience
- Typically 8 to 12 years of overall experience
- At least 6 years of Salesforce experience
- At least 2 years of technical leadership or workstream ownership
- Experience delivering medium-to-large Salesforce implementations
Key Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery, engineering quality, and production readiness of Salesforce projects or major workstreams.
- Convert business and functional requirements into detailed technical solutions.
- Guide developers on design, implementation, testing, security, and troubleshooting.
- Personally develop complex components, technical proof of concepts, or critical fixes where hands-on intervention is required.
- Review Salesforce configuration, Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations, security, data models, and deployment changes.
- Identify, document, and manage technical debt, ensuring that short-term delivery decisions do not create unacceptable long-term platform risk.
- Make practical decisions between configuration, custom development, AppExchange products, middleware, AI capabilities, and external platforms.
- Lead estimation, technical planning, code reviews, release activities, and production stabilisation.
- Establish coding, testing, documentation, security, and DevOps standards.
- Coordinate technical dependencies across developers, QA, business analysts, architects, DevOps teams, middleware teams, and external system owners.
- Mentor developers and improve the overall technical capability of the team.
- Communicate technical options, assumptions, risks, and dependencies to client and internal stakeholders.
- Lead or support Agentforce, Data Cloud, and AI-enabled Salesforce initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, integrations, security, data modelling, asynchronous processing, and Salesforce platform limits
- Ability to design scalable and reusable technical solutions
- Experience with REST, event-driven, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, identity, access, sharing, and integration-user design
- Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD, environment strategy, release management, and production support
- Experience in at least one Salesforce cloud with working knowledge of additional clouds
- Strong team leadership, estimation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills
Emerging Technology Expectations
The candidate should understand how modern Salesforce solutions are evolving through:
- Agentforce and enterprise AI agents
- Agent actions, topics, prompts, grounding, guardrails, and human escalation
- Salesforce Data Cloud and unified customer data
- Headless and API-first application patterns
- Agent APIs, mobile or web agent embedding, and external-channel experiences
- Event-driven architecture and real-time integrations
- MuleSoft, API management, and external enterprise systems
- AI-assisted development, automated testing, observability, and DevOps
- Responsible AI, data privacy, consent, and security
- Review and validate AI-generated code, configurations, tests, and technical recommendations before they are introduced into the solution
The Lead is not required to be an expert in every area but should be capable of leading discovery, assessing feasibility, and guiding implementation with specialist support where needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
- Platform Developer II strongly preferred
- Relevant cloud, Integration Architect, Data Architect, Sharing and Visibility Architect, or AI-related certifications are advantageous
Pay: ₹550,725.49 - ₹1,947,319.38 per year
