Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to plan, manage, and control manufacturing operations for conveyor systems and bulk material handling equipment. The role is responsible for achieving production targets while ensuring quality, cost control, safety, and timely dispatch in coordination with internal teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production activities for conveyor systems and related components.
- Ensure production is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
- Prepare production schedules based on project priorities and dispatch commitments.
- Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, quality, stores, and logistics teams for smooth workflow.
- Monitor shop-floor activities including fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials to meet productivity targets.
- Track production KPIs such as output, rejection, rework, downtime, and delivery performance.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address production delays or quality issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety practices, 5S, and statutory compliance within the plant.
- Support dispatch planning and ensure materials are ready as per committed delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in conveyor manufacturing, bulk material handling, or mechanical fabrication, with supervisory or managerial exposure.
- Strong understanding of conveyor systems, fabrication processes, welding, machining, and assembly.
- Experience in production planning, shop-floor management, and dispatch coordination.
- Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month
