Job Description – Civil Quantity Surveyor

Reporting To: Project Manager / Commercial Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Civil Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity estimation, billing, cost control, and contract coordination for civil construction projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, vendor billing, and project cost monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and verification of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for civil works.
- Quantity take-off from drawings and site measurements.
- Preparation and submission of RA bills and client billing documents.
- Verification and certification of subcontractor/vendor bills.
- Monitoring project costs, material reconciliation, and budget control.
- Preparation of rate analysis for extra and deviation works.
- Coordination with planning, billing, and execution teams for progress tracking.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Maintaining records of measurements, work progress, and billing status.
- Assisting in tender estimation and cost comparison statements.
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications and contract conditions.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3–8 years of experience in quantity surveying and billing works.
- Experience in residential, commercial, infrastructure, or industrial projects preferred.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing software.
- Understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and site execution activities.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation and rate analysis.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple project activities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and documentation management.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in high-rise building projects, railway projects, or government projects will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP billing systems preferred.
Salary
As per company standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
