Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Engineer to drive business growth by identifying customer requirements, promoting our service offerings, and building long-term relationships with manufacturing clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial sales, technical sales, capital equipment, automation, CNC machines, laser systems, or engineering services. This role combines field sales, customer relationship management, and solution-based selling.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing industries.
- Promote and sell AMC contracts, laser machine repairs, fiber source repair services, spare parts, and consumables.
- Generate qualified leads through customer visits, referrals, and market research.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals to customers.
- Negotiate pricing and close business opportunities effectively.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with Plant Heads, Maintenance Managers, Production Teams, and Purchase Departments.
- Understand customer machine performance, maintenance challenges, and operational requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor by recommending cost-effective service and maintenance solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Technical Consultation
- Understand customer laser machine applications and recommend suitable service solutions.
- Coordinate with internal service engineers to provide technical support and project execution.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate spare parts, consumables, and maintenance packages.
- Educate customers on preventive maintenance and machine performance improvement opportunities.
Field Visits & Account Management
- Conduct regular factory visits to existing and prospective customers.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities during customer interactions.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up of enquiries and quotations.
- Submit visit reports and update CRM records regularly.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with Service, Operations, and Accounts teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Coordinate service schedules, spare parts availability, and customer communications.
- Track quotations, purchase orders, payments, and project completion status.
Qualifications
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronicsor related fields.
- 2–7 years of experience in Technical Sales, Industrial Sales, Capital Equipment Sales, Automation, CNC, Laser Machines, Engineering Services, or After-Sales Support.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and factory visits.
