About the Role
Tirupati Road Carrier is looking for an experienced Rail Logistics Executive to manage end-to-end rake loading and dispatch operations at our coal siding in Tallaipalli, Gharghoda, Raigarh (C.G.). The role involves close coordination with Railway officials, mining/stockyard teams, and internal logistics to ensure timely, safe, and compliant rake movement while minimizing demurrage and turnaround time.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Railway officials (Station Superintendent, TI, control office, siding in-charge) for timely rake placement, withdrawal, and schedule confirmation
- Plan rake loading operations in line with dispatch schedules, customer orders, and stock availability
- Ensure required quantity and quality of coal/material is available at the loading point; align loading timelines with production, stockyard, and mining teams
- Supervise physical loading of wagons ensuring even weight distribution, compliance with axle load limits, and no overloading
- Ensure accurate pre- and post-loading weighment through weighbridges
- Prepare and verify railway documentation: Railway Receipt (RR), forwarding notes, wagon slips, rake loading memos, and invoices
- Enforce safety norms during rake handling — proper wagon sealing, tarpaulin covering, and door locking (GI wire)
- Ensure rakes are loaded within permissible free time to avoid demurrage charges; monitor and report turnaround time (TAT) per rake
- Resolve operational challenges: wagon shortages, placement delays, mechanical failures, material blockages
- Maintain daily loading logs and reports on rake movement, load quantities, and dispatch status; share updates with senior management and customers
- Coordinate with in-house or outsourced siding operators for smooth rake handling
- Liaise with coal company authorities (e.g., MCL/SECL) and customer representatives as needed
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in rail/coal logistics (mandatory)
- Minimum 12th pass; graduate/diploma in logistics or related field preferred
- Hands-on experience in rake loading, railway documentation (RR, forwarding note), and siding operations
- Strong knowledge of railway freight processes, demurrage rules, and axle load norms
- Good coordination and communication skills; ability to liaise with government/railway officials
- Willingness to work at site locations in rotational/extended shifts
- Working knowledge of Hindi and English; basic computer/MS Office skills for reporting
Compensation
₹20,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and skills)
