Job Description
We are looking for an experienced BMC Firmware Developer with expertise in OpenBMC development and server management firmware. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in developing BMC firmware for server platforms, working with industry-standard management protocols, and debugging embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance BMC firmware for Sideband and Out-of-Band (OOB) server management.
- Design, develop, and maintain features on the OpenBMC software stack.
- Implement and support server management protocols such as Redfish and PLDM.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to deliver high-quality firmware solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues using hardware debugging tools.
- Participate in code reviews, firmware testing, and performance optimization.
- Maintain code repositories and follow version control best practices.
- Develop automation scripts to support firmware development and testing.
Required Skills
- 4–10 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Hands-on experience in BMC firmware development for Sideband / Out-of-Band (OOB) server management.
- Mandatory: Strong experience with the OpenBMC software stack.
- Experience working with Redfish and PLDM protocols.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Good understanding of computer architecture.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and Perforce.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python and Bash.
- Experience using hardware debug tools such as Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and JTAG Debuggers.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working on server management firmware or enterprise server platforms is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
