The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing housekeeping staff and ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition. The role involves supervising daily cleaning operations, inspecting work quality, training staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
- Assign cleaning duties and work schedules to team members.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, offices, common areas, washrooms, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment and report replenishment needs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning-related requests, complaints, and emergencies.
Staff Management
- Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company standards.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and guidance.
- Maintain attendance records and prepare duty rosters.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and professionalism among staff.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility.
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance department for repairs.
- Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.
- Maintain inventory records of cleaning materials and supplies.
- Assist in budgeting and cost-control measures related to housekeeping operations.
- Ensure proper documentation of incidents, inspections, and staff performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in Housekeeping Management is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and record-keeping.

Working Conditions

Pay: ₹9,891.07 - ₹26,911.06 per month
