Position Overview
Bedford School, Mohali, is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and enhance the school's IT network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable connectivity, network security, and seamless operation of all wired and wireless systems that support teaching, learning, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity across the campus.
- Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network security devices.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Implement and maintain network security policies, VPNs, and access controls.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning for network configurations.
- Coordinate with internet service providers and external vendors.
- Monitor bandwidth utilisation and recommend infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Support IP telephony, CCTV, biometric attendance, and other network-connected systems.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Provide technical support during school events requiring network connectivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- CCNA certification preferred; CCNP or equivalent is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration and support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall management.
- Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi solutions and network monitoring tools.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
