Job Description: Managed Services Front-End Engineer
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and service-driven Managed Services Front-End Engineer with strong expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and hands-on experience with Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimising high-performance, scalable, and visually engaging eCommerce storefronts for enterprise clients. You will work within a managed services environment, handling front-end development, production support, issue resolution, minor enhancements, performance improvements, and ongoing platform maintenance.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in SFCC front-end development, a customer-first mindset, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with defined SLAs and shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
SFRA-Based Front-End Development

Build, customize, and maintain modular, reusable front-end components using the SFRA framework.

Customize and extend SFCC templates using ISML, JavaScript, jQuery, SCSS, Page Designer, and other front-end assets.

Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, interactive, pixel-accurate, and visually consistent web interfaces.

Use the Bootstrap framework to deliver mobile-first and responsive eCommerce experiences.

Integrate UI components from established design systems while ensuring scalability and maintainability.

Maintain visual consistency, usability, and reusability across all customer-facing pages.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility across major browsers and devices.
-
Follow accessibility standards including WCAG and ADA guidelines.
Managed Services, Support, and Maintenance
-
Provide front-end support for SFCC-based eCommerce platforms in a managed services model.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to UI, templates, styling, scripts, responsiveness, and page rendering.

Work on incident tickets, service requests, change requests, and minor enhancements within agreed SLAs.

Perform root cause analysis for recurring front-end issues and recommend long-term fixes.

Support regular deployments, hotfixes, releases, and post-deployment validations.

Monitor and improve front-end performance, usability, and customer experience.

Collaborate with client teams and internal stakeholders to clarify issues, provide updates, and ensure timely resolution.

Maintain clear documentation for fixes, enhancements, known issues, and technical changes.
Collaboration, Standards, and Quality Control

Work closely with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and client stakeholders.

Participate in requirement discussions, impact analysis, and technical solutioning for front-end changes.

Support code reviews and ensure adherence to SFRA and front-end development best practices.

Mentor junior developers and help improve overall code quality within the team.

Follow coding standards, version control practices, release processes, and change management guidelines.

Ensure all front-end deliverables are tested for responsiveness, accessibility, browser compatibility, and performance.
Technical Responsibilities

4–7 years of experience in front-end development.
-
Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, preferably using Storefront Reference Architecture.

Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript ES6+, jQuery, and component-based development.
-
Proficiency in ISML templates, SFRA architecture, Page Designer, and JavaScript controllers.
-
Experience in building responsive and mobile-first interfaces using Bootstrap.
-
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React is preferred.
-
Strong understanding of SFCC cartridges, templates, scripts, content slots, assets, and storefront customization.

Experience with front-end performance optimization techniques such as:

Proficiency in Git for version control and collaborative development.

Experience with Webpack, NPM, and front-end build tools.

Experience working with third-party integrations, analytics tags, payment widgets, marketing tools, and personalisation components is a plus.

Understanding of Agile delivery, ticketing tools, and support workflows such as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce JavaScript Developer Certification is a plus.

Experience with Headless Commerce architectures or Progressive Web App frameworks.

Familiarity with SFCC Business Manager configuration.

Experience supporting international eCommerce websites across multiple locales and currencies.

Knowledge of SEO best practices for eCommerce storefronts.

Experience with accessibility testing tools and performance audit tools such as Lighthouse.

Qualifications

BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent technical qualification.

Proven experience working with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Strong front-end development background with hands-on experience in SFRA.

Proficient in troubleshooting issues related to Salesforce configuration, customizations, integrations, and storefront behavior.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Experience working with Indian and global clients in an Agile or managed services delivery model will be an advantage.
