Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer (AWS + Linux)
Location: Bengaluru
Build Systems That Power Content at Scale
We’re looking for a hands-on Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer who enjoys bringing order to complexity.
If you’ve ever looked at a setup and thought “this could be cleaner, automated, and way more reliable” — this role is for you.
You’ll play a key role in transforming our infrastructure from manually managed systems into automated, scalable, and production-grade platforms that support our growing publishing ecosystem.
Why This Role is Interesting
- You won’t just maintain systems → you’ll redesign how they work
- You’ll move us from manual ops to automation-first engineering
- You’ll have end-to-end ownership across AWS + on-prem systems
- You’ll work on real problems—traffic, reliability, failover—not just theory
What You’ll Work On
Infrastructure & Reliability
- Own and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, ALB, CloudFront, Route53, VPC)
- Maintain hybrid connectivity with on-prem datacentres
- Manage Linux-based systems (Nginx, Apache, MariaDB, Joomla)
- Improve system reliability, failover strategies, and traffic flow
DevOps & Automation
- Bring in and enforce Git-based workflows for infrastructure changes
- Eliminate direct server edits → introduce controlled deployments
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
- Standardise environments for consistency and repeatability
Monitoring & Observability
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Build health checks and automated diagnostics
- Proactively identify and fix reliability gaps
Operational Excellence
- Automate routine operational tasks
- Improve documentation and create clear runbooks
- Troubleshoot complex production issues (networking, HTTP errors, upstream failures)
- Participate in incident response and continuous improvements
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years in Linux/system engineering roles
- Strong AWS experience (compute, networking, security basics)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Solid Git practices (branching, PRs, reviews)
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
- Experience improving or modernising infrastructure setups
- Strong debugging mindset—you enjoy figuring things out
Bonus Points If You Have
- Terraform or other IaC tools
- Docker / Kubernetes experience
- Monitoring stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Exposure to CDN optimisation (CloudFront)
- Experience with CMS/web platforms (Joomla, Apache)
- Security best practices in cloud environments
What Success Looks Like (First Few Months)
- All changes are tracked via Git—no more direct server edits
- CI/CD pipelines are in place and actively used
- Deployments are repeatable and reliable
- Systems are better documented and easier to manage
- Reduced manual work through automation
- Increased confidence in production changes
Who You Are
- You like fixing messy systems and making them better
- You think in systems, not just tasks
- You take ownership and follow through
- You’re practical, not overly theoretical
- You enjoy working in small teams with real impact
Why Join Us
- Work on systems that directly power digital publishing platforms
- Real ownership—not just ticket-based work
- Opportunity to shape how infrastructure is built going forward
- A team that values doing things better, not just doing things fast
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
