Job Title: Sourcing & Export Operations Manager
Location: Anderi East, Mumbai, India
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly dynamic and knowledgeable professional to manage end-to-end sourcing and export operations for agricultural commodities including spices, fruits, and vegetables. This is a critical, hands-on role requiring deep market knowledge, strong supplier networks, and expertise in export documentation and logistics. The ideal candidate will act as a one-point solution for sourcing, vendor management, export coordination, and international client communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Procurement
* Identify and procure high-quality products from key sourcing hubs for eg. Cumin from Ahmedabad, Turmeric from Salem, Onions from Nashik, Red Chilli from Guntur & other fruits, vegetables, and spices across India.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, traders, mandis, and aggregators through frequent visits.
* Ensure best pricing, favorable payment terms, consistent supply.
* Evaluate and source both organic and non-organic products based on client requirements
* Monitor market trends, seasonality, and price fluctuations
2. Quality Control & Product Knowledge
* Possess in-depth knowledge of product grades, specifications, sorting, grading, and packaging standards, export quality benchmarks.
* Conduct quality checks at source or coordinate inspections through SGS agency.
* Ensure compliance with international quality standards.
3. Export Documentation & Compliance
* Should have knowledge of export documentation including for eg: Bill of Lading (BL), Shipping Bill, Phytosanitary Certificate, Fumigation Certificate, Health Certificate etc.
* Coordinate closely with CHA & Shipping lines to ensure smooth customs clearance, correct paper work, timeline adherence.
* Ensure compliance with export regulations and country-specific requirements
4. Logistics & Shipping Coordination
* Maintain strong working relationships with: CHA agents, Shipping lines, Transporters
* Negotiate freight rates and manage transportation efficiently
* Oversee dispatch planning, container loading, and timely shipment execution
* Optimize packaging and logistics costs
5. International Client Handling
* Communicate effectively with global clients (UAE, Indonesia, China, Russia, etc.)
* Manage inquiries, order processing, and shipment updates
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships
* Handle negotiations and ensure client satisfaction
6. End-to-End Operations Ownership
* Take full responsibility for sourcing to shipment execution
* Act as a problem-solver in day-to-day operational challenges
* Build processes that can later scale into a structured team
7. Key Requirements
* 5–10 years of experience in agri-commodity sourcing/export business
* Strong on-ground network across mandis and sourcing regions in India
* Deep understanding of spices, fruits, and vegetables supply chains
* Hands-on experience with export documentation and logistics
* Established connections with CHA and shipping lines preferred
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory
* Willingness to travel extensively across India.

9. This is a foundational role The selected candidate will play a key role in building the sourcing and export vertical and will eventually lead a dedicated team as the business scales.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
