Introduction
Child in Need Institute (CINI) has been implementing/facilitating different programs to demonstrate models in improving quality of lives of children, adolescent and women in need. CINI also provides technical support to different State Governments and at National level for strengthening existing services and build up capacities of personnel working at different layers. CINI’s core model is based on CINI method that promotes a rights-based convergence approach which has so far attracted the attention of policy makers and other different actors of development sector, and which has proven to be an effective design to promote local level solutions for improving care and protection of Children.
About Project :
The project aims to empower adolescent girls and young women (15–25 years) by strengthening life skills, education, employability, reproductive health awareness, and linkages to government schemes. Implemented in selected districts of Jharkhand, the project works in close collaboration with the Departments of Health, Education, Women & Child Development, Skill Development Mission, district administrations, schools, colleges, and community institutions.
Job Purpose
The Training Consultant will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and quality assurance of all capacity-building initiatives under the project. The incumbent will ensure high-quality training delivery for Health & Wellness Ambassadors (HWAs), teachers, college faculty, Peer Educators, Learning Facilitators, and project staff while strengthening institutional capacities for effective implementation of School Health & Wellness Programme (SHWP) and adolescent empowerment interventions.
Competencies :
- Excellent training and facilitation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities in Hindi and English.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and participatory training methodologies.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital training platforms.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualification:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Public Health, Education, Development Studies, or related disciplines.
- Certification or experience in Training of Trainers (ToT), and capacity building will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in designing and conducting training programmes in the development sector
- Experience in developing training materials, modules and facilitating participatory learning sessions.
- Experience working with government departments, schools, colleges, or community-based programmes.
- Experience in adolescent health, life skills education, School Health & Wellness Programme (SHWP), RKSK, education, youth development, gender, or employability programmes will be preferred.
Job Description:
Training delivery Batch wise:
- All staffs inhouse residential training: 2 trainings
- Peer Educators: 8 trainings
- Health and Wellness Ambassadors: 8 trainings
- KGBK school teachers: 2 trainings
- Government College: 2 trainings
- Additional trainings as per the need
Training Planning and Coordination
- Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly training calendars in consultation with the Project Coordinator and technical team.
- Coordinate state, district, block, school, college, and community-level training programmes.
Training Material Development
- Develop and update training manuals, facilitator guides, presentations, session plans, participant handbooks, assessment tools, and job aids.
- Ensure quality and standardization of all learning resources.
Quality Assurance and Monitoring
- Monitor training quality through field visits, observation checklists, and supportive supervision.
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and analyse learning outcomes.
- Provide mentoring and on-site handholding support to trainers and field staff.
- Maintain training databases, attendance records, certification records, and learning documentation.
Coordination and Documentation
- Prepare training reports and training outcome document,
- Support donor reporting by providing quality training-related information and evidence.
Expected travel : Field visits to Godda, Gumla, Latehar, and West Singhbhum districts for planning, monitoring, mentoring, and quality assurance of training activities.
Salary: -INR 45,000/- per month & INR 5000 (Travel & Communication). Deductions will be made as per IT rules.
