Role Overview- Radio Firmware Engineer
We are looking for a skilled RF Engineer with strong expertise in Software Defined Radio (SDR) and digital design (Verilog /VHDL). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing RF systems for advanced communication and defence-related applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test RF communication systems
- Work on Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms for signal processing and communication applications
- Develop and implement digital logic using Verilog and VHDL
- Perform RF testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Analyze signal behavior and troubleshoot RF-related issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (embedded, hardware, software)
- Support system integration and validation activities
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals (frequency, modulation, signal propagation)
- Hands-on experience with SDR platforms (e.g., USRP, GNU Radio, MATLAB)
- Proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL
- Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts
- Experience with RF testing tools (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.)
- Basic understanding of communication protocols
Good to Have
- Experience in defence / aerospace projects
- Knowledge of FPGA development
- Familiarity with Python / MATLAB for signal processing
- Exposure to embedded systems
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, Communication, or related field
- Experience Required 2-5 years .
