Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of passenger or commercial vehicles.
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, suspension, steering, braking, and electrical systems.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle faults.
- Inspect vehicles and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain service records, job cards, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate with service advisors and customers regarding repair status.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians when required.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned jobs.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automobile systems and vehicle diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with engines, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for service documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Eligibility
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering (Mandatory).
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in an automobile dealership, service center, or automotive manufacturing industry.
- Experience with passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, or heavy vehicles is preferred.
- Valid driving license is an added advantage.
