- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Operation Theatre complex.
- Plan, allocate, and manage duty rosters for OT personnel.
- Coordinate surgical schedules in consultation with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams.
- Ensure timely preparation and readiness of operation theatres for scheduled procedures.
- Monitor OT utilization and optimize theatre efficiency and turnaround times.
- Ensure availability of sterile instruments, surgical supplies, implants, and consumables.
- Supervise inventory management of OT supplies and coordinate procurement requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages of critical surgical materials.
- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and functionality of OT equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with the Biomedical Engineering Department.
- Enforce compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Ensure adherence to sterilization standards and aseptic techniques.
- Conduct periodic audits of OT practices, documentation, and safety compliance.
- Monitor adherence to patient safety protocols, including surgical safety checklists.
- Investigate and report OT incidents, near misses, and adverse events.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise OT documentation, records, and reporting systems.
- Coordinate with CSSD, ICU, wards, emergency services, laboratory, radiology and other support departments.
- Manage staffing requirements and address personnel performance issues.
- Facilitate orientation, training, and competency development programs for OT personnel.
- Conduct regular meetings with OT personnel to address operational concerns and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor OT-related expenditures and support cost-control measures.
- Verify billing documentation related to surgical procedures, implants and consumables.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for hospital management.
- Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety committee activities.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal practices within the OT complex.
- Address concerns raised by surgeons and patients
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the OT department.
Experience: 10 years (From NABH Accredited hospital)
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
